No real surprises. Everybody who made the A- including Canadian Jerry Mann- was an excellent driver. The cars were noticeably slower, so setups that emphasized roll speed did best. There was not much difference in lap times bewteen the top guys and the drivers in the C Main- everything was very close. Dylan White won Mini class, therby ending (finally!) the White Family Mini TCS Dynasty. He drove like a demon, as did Craig Richter, Brandon Koslowski, the whole bunch.

Could u gimme and expample of a setup that maintains corner speed??
I guess you mean thicker oil, less holes, in shocks.. Harder springs.......etc...
But also the most important is your driving style... with minis is like driving karts.... you don't brake at all and try to be as smooth as possible.....

I thin my brasso 50-50 with metho and use a com drop bottle (or something with a small needle) to apply it.
Run the motor with one cell 1.2v and apply 2 or 3 drops of brasso. Let it run 30 second or so and then give it a good wash out with the cleaner. Repeat until the com is shiny.
I do this between runs and I have done ok in the 540 class at the club challenge this year.
Didn't do anything else to the motor except not to overgear it. I have been running up to a 43mm rollout and still have the 3 motors I started with this year...

Any idea what the RPM and AMP range is at 7v?
Track I race at is starting to limit RPM and AMP and will test with a prop at 7v.

What size/kind of prop? That kind of drives the results...

Not sure, I have not seen it yet. I think it is an airplane prop.
A few of your motors showed up at the track. Which caused other to possibly unconfirmed, show up with the stinger. As a result of some noise at the track last week, the motors will be teched.

Did they give you any idea what their specs were going to be??? If they didn't spell it out it sounds as if they plan on deciding if a motor is too fast after testing in an arbitrary manner. I can forsee a multitude of problems with this approach. Since your track is willing to tech the cars, there are any # of ways better than the arbitrary approach your track has taken

I totally agree. It is a halfass way of doing it. I am not at the track today but I have been told that just about any fast guy that is getting beat is asked for a tech of the motor of the guy that beat him.
Sounds like I need to pack it in for the season. This will only go down hill.
Funny though...the motor assumed to be a stinger last week is no where to be seen

I don't have any experience with "silver can motors" and I have a few questions. How many turns of wire do they have? Is it possible to make one faster than a stock, 27 turn brushed motor? Are there different types of silver can motors Thanks.
