Hi all, Please correct me if i am wrong. From what i know WD40 is a solvent and not a lube and also WD40 when used will slowly disolve the coil around the armture. Also used a brake cleaner to clean the comm is a good idea, But this will dry up the comm and the brushes and cause excess wear. So try to get comm drop to lube it back. And also dun forget to lube the bushing.

So far i think the best ratio for stock silver can is 5.8 -5.5 due to the fact that the magnet is not strong enough to push the car.

Just to share a well run in silver can should be running about 19000-20000 rpm at 7.2 volts and amp draw about 1.2-1.5amps, a tuned silver can should be about 24000-25000 rpm at 7.2volts and draw about 2-3amps. The reading is taken from a Much More Motor Master.

The evolution of a relationship with a woman using all the smiles symbols.

You first meet
She thinks your cute
You got to a movie
You go to dinner
Take her home
Have sex with her
You leave the next morning
You go to dinner again
Then to another movie
She says she loves you
She moves in with you
You get married
She tells you what to do
You tell her your going RC racing
She says no way
You go anyway
She
You
You decide to cheat on her
She finds out
She has sex with your cousin
You divorce her
She breaks all of your RC stuff
You sleep with her sister who is way hotter
Sorry had no idea what to do with the death star symbol so here you go

Thats all the smiles symbols in one story

THose are some pretty good numbers ..... I would say that you would be lucky to get 1 in 20 to get 20,000 by merely running it till the brushes are seated .... and 25,000 after tuning it is 1 in 50, if yer lucky!

As a matter of fact no. Out of 10 motors i can get 9 motor to run between 24-25k after tuning and 1 in 10 to about 28k but the troque band at 28k is bad and not that efficent.

Actually the motor i used is the 1 that is the 540J silver can that comes in the box with the batch number 62200 3E2532 47

Will try to get a motor master and post a video soon.

If you were using a freshly charged 6 cell battery, you were running over 8 volts. Your readings won't be consistant using a battery as your power source. Even with that your #'s are very good. Would be interested to see the #'s at a reliable 7.2 volts. From the audio on the video tho, it did sound more like 18-19,000 rpms.
