Just duct tape them to ignition wires of your car on your way to the track.

Also, it had better not win in "Pit Tips".

Taping your motors to ignition wires is a joke. I have never heard that zapping silver can magnets work, actually, I have heard silver cans are fastest before they wear out which is when the magnets are weaker.

I have tried on three motors and can not do it, i know someone can with a week to spare and you can come on here and say that, but for what it is worth, just get another motor and run it in. I caught a cheat many years ago in Canberra off road with a stock arm in a silver can and caught him out with little marks left behind, but that is another storey, .................eh Darryn

I've read through this thread and the concensus seems to be that you can't open one without causing enough damage that if you could get it back together, it wouldn't pass a basic tech inspection...right? I've been racing them in my M03s for a while and never tried to open one and have no need to but I'd like to know if these people are right in saying that it's easy and everyone does it.

I hate to go against someone with more experience than myself (one been in it for a year n a half)(my number of posts dont reflect my intelligence though...coz the i would have zero posts ) but, a couple weeks ago i roasted my motor at the 540 classics....and i had an old silvercan which had been rippd apart (long story)..so i cleand the comm and stuck the 23t sport tuned armature in the silvercan and sealed it back up.....noooo scratches what so ever...xcept the fact i used the sport tuned end bell and not the silvercan 1

I tested the motor out...just stuck it on my 4200 stik pak.....it squeals....real real loud.....does this mean it needs a clean....it also started melting the battery pack holder (4 cell) (i stuck 4 AA's in a pack n tried it again) and the plastic on the batt holder startd to melt....the bateries were hot....the motor must have been pulling alot of current.....scorching hot it was.......

1. What does the squealing mean???? time for a clean???

cheers

Default V8

If you own the blue HO'e doing the burn out, ......get the 8 ignition wires together, ........tape them up so there is one piece about 6 inches long of wire and tape tight, ................place 540 motor on it and tape it up all together....................and shove it up your arse you cheat !!!!!!!!!!

I have always wanted to race a non compliant 540 but its a no brainer.

I worked out a special formula for it.

Racing + tampered with 540 - rac - tampered with 540 + cheat =

i agree wit you blokes with the cheat side of things but, i came on this thread looking for mabye a little trick or something that is good to have in your back pocket and may not nessasarly be illegal. putting a silver can innards in a black can is something i wouldnt waste my time with, but he has to do something more with car handling b4 he starts worring about car speed
