Default Charging..

Hi!

When I charge my cells (3300's), they keep cutting on temp, instead of peak.. I charge at 4.5 to 5amp. Is this normal?
(the charger reads 3400 and 3500mah when done..)

Hi,

The charge amps looks fine,I've charged my 3300s with that range for practice.

By the way,are your cells old? Old cells with higher internal resistence could be a reason why it peaked due to temp.

But everthing looks normal to me.

What temp do they cut off at? Maybe your temp setting is too low, or your peak setting is too high.

I have a new charger, the Overloader, and I tried to use the same cut-off as my old Robitronic Expert, and it cut waaaaay early, so now I have the cut of at 10 to 11, instead of 4 and 5 that worked for the Expert. The cells are brand new team packs.. Temp-cut is at 45deg C. (113 Fahrenheit)

I believe you could set your temperature cut-off to be a little bit higher. Somewhere around 120F ~ 130F. My 3300 usually cut off at delta peak with the temp around 120F ~ 126F and 3500mah.
