Still learning this 'Carpet Race' thing..Major shift in grip over the few days.. My second big event on carpet..

That being said, I always try and pass clean. When i see an opportunity, i will take it. A1 didnt go so well on many accounts for me..

A2 (after a few more slight setup changes) was much better on many accounts

Sorry but is that 21.5 or 17.5? It seems slow AF...

Lightbulb FWD Setup

I could use some advice on this setup. I race on High Traction black CRC carpet. The car seems a little squirrely on power coming out of the turns. A couple guys are running 6* positive caster in the front so I tried it and it wasn't bad. I'm looking for consistency.

that's debatable … Most of the good driver prefer 21.5 or 17.5 for FWD...I am not sure if Scotty think the will bring more racer in the class..
In BC Canada FWD is 17.5
I am sure you remember TCS FWD was the sliver can motor and still the biggest class

What did I miss or do you need to know?
Nevermind..... I just looked at it. Not sure what happened. All that info is checked off. I'll try again shortly.

the hard part of specing a motor for a new class is the track size . I don’t disagree IIc could defiantly use a Faster motor but most tracks are about 1/2 the size of that track .
25.5 motors are fitting for the class for most tracks .
faster than vta and easier to drive . I’ve ran with a 17.5 and the only thing that makes it faster than usgt is strait line speed . But still don’t have the rip out of the corner like a usgt car does ,just more tire ware .... who wants that ?

I think the FWD is a new breed of different class to have fun class like back in the days
The track owner should decide what motor works better the suite for their track size..

Lightbulb Setup sheet ......again

Let's try this again. Please review and advise. The car seems a little squirrely / loose on power coming out of the turn.

Just like everything... It's not about absolute straight away speed that makes a class. I've only done one fwd race so far ... But it had some of the best battles Ive been in.

I'd like to see all heads up fwd racing (no ifmar qualifying)

its a shame the FWD class is being treated as inferior to its 4WD counterparts.

im speaking about the RC community in general.
