I saw one run last night on a low grip tight track, it looked good and alot better than the m06 but nowhere near the pace of the m07, some more tuning will get it closer, I think it is going to be pretty dependent on the type of track to whether they will do well or not.
it hasn't got me rushing out to buy one yet

Great writeup,
just would disagree, that the M04 and M06 were crap.
I would never let down my M04 and M06 (nor the M02).
But Iīm keen on my M08, arriving tomorrow.
The new M07 build Quality together with the new axle dimensions will also transform the driving of the RWD-Mīs.
Canīt wait to drive it,

I'm getting ready to order one of these from RC Mart. If I were to just run a silver can would the included 20T pinion be good for that? Also, what body(s) would be ideal for the car?

What do you intend to do with it? that determines body and gearing.
