F1 is the same. If you pull the trigger fast, you may veer off into the wall.

The RWD accelerates much better in black carpet than the FWD.. so you don’t need to be trigger happy. 😉

Has anyone tried the m-chassis springs from RIDE? They are blue, yellow and red black coils for the SSBB shocks. Are they the same as the Tamiya SSBB spring set black/red, black/green and blacl/black?

Take care

I started building my M08 last night and so far the built is going extremely well. The only issue I've had so far was getting the bearings installed on the diff. I built the diff first per the manual but couldn't get the bearing onto the diff housing. For some reason, the only fix was to take the diff back apart and install the bearings on the diff housing before re-assembling the diff. This allowed me to use a flat surface to push the diff into the bearing.

The bearings can be hard to press on to the moulded diff case but I've always got them on without disassembly. You could have tried taking some material off with sandpaper or a file.

Default Cannot get anymore ride night out of the front.

I have the M-08R. I cannot get the front up any higher. I have <1mm of ride night right now upfront. The dampers are fully extended. The droop screws are fully backed out. It appears as though the shock tower is too high, but I don’t see how it could be lowered.

The lower front arms can’t even go past parallel with the bottom of the chassis. I must be doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe the lower damper ball cap is too short?

What's the overall length of your shock? Pretty sure the R comes with the Super Short, which should be 55mm. Sorry, I don't have the R, but upgraded mine with the short shocks. Is it possible you have the wrong shock mount. Here's the 2 that are available. The top one is for the regular TRF shocks and the bottom one is for the super short.

Sorry for a dumb question but can anyone recommend a steering servo for general sport running? Don't need anything super duper, just a decent shorty servo to get my new 08 running. Thanks!

Just finished but anyone know why Tamiya removed the o-ring from the spring retainer adjuster on the R models?

The m chassis dampers never had the o-ring on the retainer. On my old M06, it allowed the car to be lowered to 5mm ride height in front where at the retainer with o ring allowed only 6. You can add the antiwear grease to stop the from moving.
