@er1c I agree.. front electronic layout is a bit odd to me. Most of us also use a low profile servo.. from looks of things the lp servo would remain suspended.. if it was to be lowered it would create an angle for rod to steering bell crank. Also there is an empty space behind servo that could have been better utilised.

i hope there is also an optional battery holder set up for shorty.. there’s no need to run full length on Mini

What? You can adjust for all three body lengths? Including 210... I just purchased the M07 with bunch of hop-ups otherwise the 210 option would be enough to get this. Most of the bodies I prefer are 210.

I am thinking this may be my first mini chassis. I have wanted one for some time just didn't like the chassis options out there.

I am sure there will be, otherwise you can still create your own method to mount a shorty. I run the M07 w/ a shorty and haven't purchased any kind of Tamiya battery mount kit. I just put a piece of hard foam on each end of the stock mounting ends to hold my shorty in place. It works great.

Looks that with some drilling you can have infinite wheelbase adjustement between 210mm and 239mm.

Anyone else feel like the back of the chassis looks a little weak? I mean, i'm still jazzed and excited to build and drive this thing. But it looks rather wasp waisted.

I would agree.. the suspension mount points are weak points.. if axle stub catches a wall will break it with ease.. reminds me of TT-02.. very weak in back side of chassis.. broke that section 4 times..

The save is these cars do not carry much speed with 21.5 motor and 20t gearing so impacts will not be as damaging

Hmmpf. So me tearing the blue tub on my TT02b wasn't that.. unusual? Nobody else seems to have noted that it was a normal thing.

i tried this also with piece of foam but then I was under 1300 weight. Plus I had to push the battery off center because the battery post got in the way in the chassis so I just gave up on it because then It was badly off balance when pushing the shorty all the way left or right. Do you have pics of your setup?

I was under weight, but this allowed me to strategically place about 20grams under and just behind the motor to get back up to weight. I'll post a few photos tomorrow (at work all day today).

no not alone.. I have torn 1 blue and 3 black lol. It’s a spectacular when it happens as part gli allmpver track and people watching mouths drop in shock haha

Still love the TT02 chassis but definitely needs an improvement

I've had nothing but trouble with my TT02b. But that could be due to the influence of 13.5t and green dot tires...

TT02 as a buggy is a bit of a stretch by Tamiya. They should have made a tub with a bit more flex for the B version
