Anyone know where to find replacement bumpers for this car? Or know any alternatives that mostly fit?

You could get 54819 bumper XL it's big enough to cut out one for M08.

Do you guys know if the body holes from a M05 are the same for the M08? IE, Can I use the same body for both cars?

front are the same. Rear on M05/M06 were flipable. The M07/M08 is only the forward position

Default Ball diff vs. Gear diff

I have the M08R and plan on racing on black carpet, would it be better to use the Gear diff?

Agreed. I did not even touch the ball diff in the M08R. I installed a gear diff I had laying around on the initial build.

As for the weight, you need to play around. 2020 I was one fire with 40k. 2021 I was struggling, so I settled on 15k.

Anyone built an M08R recently? I built mines up and my rear toe-in is not symmetrical left/right on the setup station. The time, it is the opposite of my other M08 in regard to adding shims on one side. Urghs...

Using the plastic suspension arm mounts this time versus aluminum on my other M08.

I just ordered and want to build a M-08R for the indoor season, what are the suggested hop-ups I should get? I guess the 54757 stabiliser set is more or less required, and would you recommend the included ball diff or should I get the 54471 gear diff?
Also, which spare parts should I stock up on? Anything that breaks easily on this car?

pick up gear diff. I recommend you switch to the M07 C hubs and suspension plate. The M08 with inserts is fragile. While your at it keep suspension arm spares.. and you’ll be good

ran one of this, could be a good alternative for mini rwd, it is a conversion from M05 with modified spur gear that can achive lower than 3;1 gear ration. it does have 210 and 225 version.
