Tire glue is going to matter much more than chassis material for performance. Ask a local racer what diameter they glue to.

Glue the outside sidewalls. All of them.

Soft springs. And whatever damping you use, keep a close eye on it.

Carbon vs aluminum chassis on black CRC carpet ain't going to make a significant difference. I've ran both and lap times were negligible.

If you had a choice, go with the thicker 2.2 mm carbon chassis for black carpet.

Only glue the outside sidewalls of your front tires. Do not do the rears.

If you have any options for stiffening your chassis, run them.

Honestly depending on the class and traction carbon vs alloy doesn't matter, I've seen crc tracks feel like asphalt and some that are sprayed and preped. Usually with carbon cars gluing the front tires works great .I highly advise looking at some setup sheets online for your car. Hard to tell you what you need to do when a car like a photon for example has three different chassis that all have different levels of flex.
