Thumbs up XRay chassis FDR

When I ran in VTA I was at 3.5 to 3.7 FDR with a 25.5 Novak Boss

Please post this question in the main VTA thread here on RCTECH. Here is the link...

U.S. Vintage Trans-Am Racing Part 2

Most of the newer motors will require a bit of different gearing when compared to the Novak 25.5 motors. Also the size of the track will affect the gearing a bit, so please include that info if you can. There should be someone in the VTA thread that should give you a good starting point for gearing and timing with the motor that you are using.

You can also post your question in the Trinity and Revtech Motors tjread here on RCTECH. Here is the link...

Trinity and ReVtech Motors discussion

Hope this info helps.

Is the motor one of Revtech's new ones? I agree with 3.5 to 3.7 FDR. I am running an older Reedy 25.5T with a 3.3 FDR. One track I run is long and free flowing, the other is medium and a bit technical. I have been running temps from 105 to 111 degrees. I think most racers will agree that set-up of the car and gearing are an experiment until you find the combo you're happy with.
