Default Team Orion Chrome Stock & Modified motors

I have a few questions about these the Team Orion Chrome Stock & Modified motors which I will be purchasing later today.

1. Are the capacitors pre-installed?
2. Are the brushes broken in?

Thank You

Aurra Sing,

The capacitors are pre-installed. The brushes are already broken in on the 'RS' version of the STOCK motor, but I don't know about the modifieds because I don't have any. BTW, they are very good motors!

The mods come with 10/30 serrated, these don't really require breaking in.

Has anyone tried the new CORE stock motor with G12 magnets?

The Core series is not available yet.

Those new magnets are the same ones that Reedy/Fantom have been using in their Ti for some time now. They are also the same as in the new Trinity P-94, and i guess P2K2.

Aurra, maybe you've already bought the Orion Chrome Stock, but here goes anyway: I'm using Peak Spitfire, which is the same as Chrome Stock. It's a good motor, it's fast and it can take the heat. But the P2K is a little better. Geared the same way as the Chrome/Spitfire, they are the same. But the P2K can take one more tooth on the pinon. It got the torque to pull the extra tooth.

I have both, Peaks spitfire and Orions chrome, Both are identical since Peak and Orion jointly developed these motors. They are very good motors, everyone has there favorites, but what matters is whats right for you. Personally I use mine for offroad use or highly technical touring car tracks due to these motors having a tendency for being on the torque side.

hey guys, we just played around with 2 orion motors on a dyno
the best way to gear them we have found is about 2 or 3 teeth above a p2k running 766 brushes an black heavy springs.

Default Tamiya motor

I got an old motor from a friend and its Tamiya with timing adjustments...not sure if its a mod or stock...I guess its mod.

Have any of you has any experience with this motor? How will I know how many turns it has? Its considerably faster about 30 percent than stock 27T rebuildables...I think I'm doing 45kph top speed on my RS4 Sport...also the brushes are different from other stock rebuildables...

Can anybody help me here? Thanks
