Thinking about purchasing a BD9 to replace my aging TC 7.1 because ASC parts are getting scarce. I use a gear diff in the front instead of the standard spool on the TC 7.1. It works better for me on technical crc black carpet tracks. My question for the savvy BD9 owners of past is the following. Will the Yokomo gear diff YOKB9-500GS fit into the front space used by the spool? Looks like the plastic blades will fit both the gear diff and spool per the manual. I assume the Yok gear diff will fit the front but it would be nice to hear a confirmation before spending the dollars. Thanks for your time and reply in advance.

Thank you for the reply. I checked the manual and the bulkheads interchange. I think that pretty much nails it. Appreciate your time and I owe you one.

So I noticed Yokomo/Axon have two part numbers listed for the complete shocks on the BD9. Does anyone know what the difference is or running changes?

I bought 2 BD9. I will race USGT and 17.5.
The guy gave me the medius conversion mid kit.
What is the advantage of this kit.
Should I installed it?
thanks

With the mid motor configuration you will be able to drive the car more aggressively into the corners without loosing the rear end.

I currently have a BD9 with Aluminum Main Chassis that I was going to run USGT. Is it possible to make the BD9 competitive in USGT against the big names? If not I was thinking about getting an Xray t4 21 since those are selling fairly cheap. Also how much would my BD9 with Aluminum Main Chassis roller sell for?

Even though it's not the most recent car and doesn't have that middle motor magic going, it should still be a fairly capable car (although around here, the Yokomos have a bit of a reputation for being more of a mod-class car, than stock - cannot say if deserved or not.) Driving/setup skills usually matter more than the chassis itself (although some are easier to setup well than others). However, the T4'21 is certainly a more recent/modern design and probably a bit more capable. Whether it's worth it for you, I can't tell, I'm afraid.
