One will be available from Schumacher in the next month or two. A prototype was used at the Euros.

I also found that the inside wheel can jam over by testing. Although it doesn´t seem to happen in real racing, when Orlowsky or Murray drive, it is possible definetly. With my kind of luck it happens to me in racing, i assume.....
My solution was to glue on some bumper rubber on the camber strap. It is still possible to reach the initial wheel stop, but it gives a soft spring force preventing the jammed position to stay. Rubber is only glued by half of the inner length.

Dang the design of the Eclipse would so be good for an F1 chassis - especially with the new trend of mounting the rear wing to the chassis and the front end design would adapt so easily! I'm still holding out Schumacher!

I asked, was told there were no plans for one. Going to draw up a chassis and get Bezerk to cut it so I can build one out of one of my spare chassis.

It would require quite a bit more than a new main chassis plate... I just find it hard to believe that Schumacher doesn't have an F1 prototype based on the Eclipse out zooming around some somewhere. I want one.

As far as I have been told they don't. I want one. I'll build my own if I have to.

It's shocking to me. F1 is so popular and they have the perfect rear pod design for F1 - far superior to the current chassis mounted rear wing designs. I'm holding out for a factory Schumacher F1 chassis based on the Eclipse. Some designer at Schumacher is having a chuckle right now as he drives a pre-production prototype around his kitchen floor as we speak - I just know it. Has to be.

I'm calling it the Shadow... although Eclipse F would be acceptable.

F1 is pretty much dead over here.

It is amazing to see those words when this year the indoor national have had their best attendance in the last 3 years.
The outdoor series was full in the first meeting and we are way better on attendance than the previous 3 years.
It is not a big market in the UK, that is the truth, but it is not dead.
Regarding that they are draedfull to drive, first of all, it is a RWD car with rubber tyres, so it is not going to be easy, that is aprt of its fun. If you want an easy class, you now, TC 21.5 blinky is ideal for you. The current spec tyres make a fairly decent behavior outdoors and the indoor ones were really good last winter.
By the way, Andy Murray, Schumacher driver, has been playing up with F1 prototypes the last few years, but as the market is not big enough it looks like they will not move on.
Cheers
