Rc car has very laggy connection
#1

My maverick strada dc is completely stock. It worked 2 runs nut the third it was wet outside. I thougt nothing of it since it sais that it is water proof on the box.
but then while driving it just stopped working. I kept pressing the gas and brake but nothing was happening. Then it started working again for half a second then stopped.
I took it home and cleaned it dried it and then it started working like normaly. I took it out again amd drove it a few meters only for the same laggy connection to occour.
i took it in again and rebinded it and tried but the smae thing happens.
If it standing still i turn and a second later it turns but then it goes back before i stop turning on the controller. If i hold the gas it just sort of jumps forward and then stops for a few seconds and then responds a bit only to stop where its at and not do anything.
any idea why?

Make sure the battery is fully charged and make sure the car's electrics are as dry as you can get them - strip it down as much as you can and put it in the airing cupboard or over a warm radiator for as long as possible to get any lingering moisture out.
