This new Fenix kit looks great. I will definitely buy one and put my current one on the shelf (well, it never left the shelf).

Few more days and the first kit will be ready to be shipped.
But we've a great news for those of you that miss a certain type of F1 racing.

We’re really proud to announce that today, we signed an agreement with the Classic Team Lotus.

Fenix Racing has been granted the rights to reproduce for RC the most iconic Formula One cars.
Classic Team Lotus is extremely active in historical racing and keeping in perfect conditions all the Lotus F1 heritage.
When we start the Classique project, it was very clear in our vision that we should do our best to offer a different level of rc model.
For this reason, reaching an agreement with Clive Chapman, is definitely a milestone for us.
Think at models like the Lotus 49, or the Lotus 72, Lotus 78, the Lotus 79, or the controversial 88, the 99…or drivers like Andretti, Clark, Senna, Mansell, Peterson, Fittipaldi, DeAngelis…
This means that we’ll be able to use original drawings to bring them to you in 1/10 scale.
We’re grateful to Classic Team Lotus for this opportunity.

Great. I just was checking over there when I saw the post. Should we expect to be able to order, even just pre order fairly soon?

The Lotus license is unbelievable! Does this mean you'll make a wide version of the car for the post 1970 car? That would be sweet!

Manny... name it... Basically we can work on any Lotus F1 until the 102.

This means babes like 49- 72-76-78-79-80-81-88-87-91- and so on... From Clark to Piquet.... ;-)

There are enough models to make a F1 fan very happy.

There is also another bunny in the owen... but is a touch too early to go public with this.

I can assure you guys that there is no time to spare....

Current style F1 chassis wonít work. With this the chassis is enclosed inside the body with this design. I tried to post a picture, but canít a moment. Iíll try again shortly

As Billy Kelly says, current chassis will not work. We want a car which looks "scale" correct.
Late 60's car were running about 2500mm wheelbase (a modern one is about 3700mm ... 1.2 meter almost 4 foot.... difference)

Therefore we choose to make a proper carbon fibre chassis and use the Fenix Mistral parts for the rear (motor holder, titanium differential), in order to achieve a proper scale look, which was a key in the deal with Classic Team Lotus: a model that was a good representation of their cars.

Classique… is getting closer.
And we are extremely pleased to show you a preview: the exquisite work of art that will be on the Classique’s box.
Thanks to the courtesy of TanoV12, an extremely gifted artist, we’re able to use this image that capture quite well the racing action of those heroic drivers.

If you’re interested in his job, you can see it here:

So far!
Boxes finally are done, this means we can start distribute Classique.

Direct sales here:
https://www.fenixracingshop.com/inde...oller=category

Sphere differential or Fenix Gear differential at the same price!
Body is included, as well decals and driver head (modern driver... working for a classic one)

I'd suggest who is interested in States, to get in touch with Fenix USA in order to arrange the first shipment.

Thanks for the support showed to this project!

Next step.... Classic Team Lotus 49!
