I plan try to them on my RX-10SR but I'm really hoping the Canadian Nats will announce a FWD class so I have an excuse to buy the RX-10FF.

I might just have to go for it. I can run in it USGT at my local track although the track is not well suited to FWD. But at least I'll have it ready if the opportunity comes to race it at the Nats.

Hey guys I am new to here and need some help.

May I ask for some advise on building the steering rack? I found that it is hard to adjust the front bearing to get enough free play but without too much loose.

If I tighten the bearing, the rack just won't move. If I loosen the bearing, the rack become smooth but also with too much free play.

My car now is very unstable on accelerating and in high speed and I have no idea what to do. Please help.

do you have the optional aluminum steering rack support ? https://destinyrcusa.com/collections...g-rack-support

if you dont have it you can take some shock piston with 1 or 1.5mm shim

I know the steering rack is hard to adjust but when you find how it works you are all set

Yes already having the rack support.

I found that I can adjust the rack to 3 level:
1) Dead, the rack just won't move
2) The rack is free play, but also with some extra loose
3) The rack is still free play, but need some extra force to push, the movement was not as smooth as (2), but it is sure that the extra loose has gone

I am running with (2) now, should I try (3)?

put the wheels straight take the side of the rack opposite of the servo and you need to feel the loose like a gearmesh loose or a tiny bit moore

my rack is like that

I'm running the kit bumper. Full sized with the BittyDesign shell, but needed trimming for the MonTech Mito shell.

If I'm reading that right you're about right with your option 2. The rack support is a big help.

I'm sticking with the kit arms for now. Seems to me there is plenty of adjustments with the arm spacers and 4mm or 5mm width hexes.

Anyone running the Protoform FWD body? How long are the rear body posts, any issues?

Not run the Protoform Europa. The BittyDesign fits the kit rear body posts without any problems so that is a good sign.

I have also just fitted a MonTech Mito (the Alfa Romeo) and that needs longer body posts. Some KillerBody body post extenders were recommended to me, so I've got a set and fitted those.

I'm told the MonTech WR4 Polo also needs longer posts.

There are also longer posts from Destiny as an option, and I've not found stock in the UK or Europe as yet.
