You can count on whatever Chris says. His laptimes back him up. He can keep up with Tye Love, Quincy Hughes and aparently is not far off a "skidmore" pace at our track. Its fun to watch you race Chris. See you at texas state champs. Im sure ill be picking your brain between now and then like how to brush a purple monster

Hi all,

Getting back on topic, I just got this motor in for my FT TC4. The gearing I'm currently set up for is the factory default. A 48p 72t Spur and I bought a 48p 28t pinion to go with it.

Based on what you all said about needing to tooth up, should I be buying a 29, 30 and 31 (or possibly even higher) pinion to see what I'm getting out of the engine and how hot it's running?

Depends on what motor you were using before that, but in general, yes, I'd start with a 29 tooth & maybe have a 30 available. If the motor's still feeling ok with a 29, then try the 30 & check it again.....

Grizz: There was no motor in it before. This is a brand new car.

Froboy: Take Off CS-22's. The track is high-grip.
