alright i was trying to get some alluminum set-up wheels and well they're just a bit hard on my pocket so i was wondering what can i use to subsitute it with or is ther i can make some...in another thread i saw a guy use plexie glass and cut it into a circle

maybe i should do that

You could sand a set of whels down as flat as possible for something like what you're looking for I guess??

i want somthing i know will be perfectly flat and striaght so i can see if my set-up is correct

Many years back ... I made a set using Plexiglass.

Go down to the glass store. Buy a 1 foot square peice of plexiglass 1/8 thick.

Using a table saw cut four equal rectangles "about 2" by 4.5".
Use a drill press drill a hole "the same size as your axle" into the rectangles.

Tighten the rectangle plates onto your car as you would tires.

Now make your measurements using the plates.

I now have a setup station so don't use them anymore.

A set of wheels with no tires should work, especially the stiff dish type.

Your not going to be able to use your car real good anyway if the wheels are f***ed.

if you're going to use setup wheels, get actual setup wheels...

if you make them they have to be PERFECT. the whole point is to have 4 equal setup wheels so that you can set all your suspension without worrying about having unbalanced wheel/tires.

By the time you fabricate 4 that will perform like a purchased set, it will probably cost more...

You don't race the car with set-up wheels so just adjust it with the ones you will be racing with. R.W.

Good point all that time setting camber, tweek, ride height with "perfect wheels" just to put on 4 tires,that one is .5 mill small than the rest. You can then through all that set-up time in the trash and a heat race
