Hey guys! All 1up Racing TC7.2 option parts are on sale now through Labor Day at their best prices yet! https://1upracing.com/product-category/option-parts/
DTCv2 Conversion on sale for only $44.99!
Pivot Blocks on sale for only $9.99! These are a direct replacement for the stock pivot blocks but are made from much stronger US 7075-T6 aluminum. These are a great tuning option but at this price would also be great to keep on hand as spares.

I feel that using a center brace of some sort can be useful.
All center braces will feel like they increase the responsiveness of the car. I feel that the turn buckle gave the least amount of response increase, whereas the thicker you go on carbon, the more responsive the response gets.
The turnbuckle doesn't tend to restrict the chassis flex too much, and as such I think changes the stability of the rear end the least.
The thicker the carbon brace, the more it seems to stiffen up the rear, and I think makes the car feel more stable in the middle or exit of the corner.
Your millage may vary!

7.1 was replaced after 2 years, i don't think AE will ever go xray way with >insert year< car

So are all the Touring cars destined to be Mid Motor now?
I dont see why the 7.2 will not be replaced soon . There was only about 5 months between the 7 and the 7.1

I think mid motor is the current "trend", whether it's better in all circumstances is very much open to debate. It brings with it some positives, but like everything, also some negatives. There is just 1 conversion available at the moment, who knows, maybe there will be more 3rd party options available some time soon.
Ae doesn't "tend" to do the yearly update cycle that some other manufactures do. Yes, 7 - 7.1 was less than a year actually, but i think that wasn't the norm. In truth, you could argue that 7 was already "out of date" by the time it was released, as many other manufactures had made the jump. Also, I think it probably sold more kits than they were expecting, hence the very quick update cycle.

Yeah, that is correct. Not really an issue, it was just that everyone else just came out with the lower towers and shorter shocks, so Associated matched. I think that was a smart thing to do. Maybe they will do the same with mid motor, but maybe they will look at the current conversions for the car and see what works first.
