I've been using Green Slime as well. Thanks.

Been having a blast with my TC7 (+DCVs) and getting really better and more consistent (tire wear is getting a thing instead of blasting the rims ). So how much of an improvement would be a current generation car? I cant think of even 0,2s at our small black carpet indoor track.
I dunno how good a deal would look like on a TC7.2. (maybe 275€ ?) I think itll be more in the 300ish area and thats a lot of money for 0,2s.
Got a sh*tload of spareparts, because I bought two TC7 and my girlfriend currently drives the 2nd one so staying on the TC7 platform would be a good idea.

I agree that the TC7.2 is probably worth 2 tenths of a second. Only you can decide if that is worth the cost.

I just confirmed with AE that no preparation is necessary on their x-rings. Take the usual installation precautions such as coating with slime or shock oil first.

I don't see any reason to replace them, stock parts work just fine

if it is used that would be expensive , Once you take the car off the showroom floor I would never pay more the 1/2 the cost of new. Used is Used for a reason

The market here in germany is quite thin on good rollers. Will be in the states in may and could pick up a roller if anyone is interested

Are there spare parts I still could use on the TC7 and 7.2? Like belts propably? Front and rear arms? Swaybars? Bulkheads?

Really depends on the condition of the used roller. On road cars hold their value pretty well. Especially indoor cars. I’d say 2/3 of the price of one in good to great condition is the true “fair” price. Unless the car is thrashed, paying 50% for a current year car is a little unreasonable. If you can get it, it’s a smoking deal, but waiting for that deal may take forever.

Good price for a well kept, used, TC7.2 should be between $325 (bargain) to $450 with extras (depending on that number of extras).

Couple 7.2 questions.....

What is the ball size of the ball links? Would the ball cups from the BD9 (B9-207) work on the car?

Does anyone run the 1UP rear steer V2 on their cars on CRC black carpet? If so any setup tips?

Anyone try the +1.5 or +2.0 suspension links on the CRC black carpet, any pros or cons?

Thanks

4.3mm, and i use BD7 ball cups on mine, i think BD9's are bigger and wouldn't fit unless you replace ball ends too. Sorry can't answer other questions.

I too can confirm that the BD7 cups fit. They are awesome! I think the BD8 and 9 cups are indeed larger as you said.

I do not run the DTC v2, but from my experience with active rear ends, you should try to have the inside ball higher than the outside, to get the most rotation out of the car. If you lose traction, you can try more camber, more camber gain, higher rear roll center, or longer rear wheelbase.
