Trinity monster hp, tekins gen 3 spec r, r1 v16, motive mc2, or team scream the one. With the new roar rules, I would go with something that has been out for less than a year. A lot of the one on the list are older and won't have the super strong rotors or be close to 18.4 resistance.

I use a R1 V16 and have had good luck with it. As was mentioned though, the newer stuff always seems to be faster as the companies figure out how to get closer to the rules. What class are you looking to use the speed control in. I feel that it changes what is the best speed control to use.

I really like the Motiv MC2 motor. However, typically the fastest motor is whatever the best driver at the track is using and then everyone just copies him. Team Scream, Trinity Monster, R1 Wurks, Motiv, you just can't go wrong with any of these.

the last 2 generation team scream motors can put you in damn near any pack you're running if you're a good setup guy and driver. just got introduced to motiv via spec motors at a track, i have to say i'm impressed

I've handed my car over to a few top drivers and on their first lap w/ my car they were getting an entire second faster than what I was putting down. My recommendation is get an ESC/Motor that was released in the last year or so, THEN focus 100% on your driving skills. I think we put too much into equipment, when in reality making the tightest line around the track is what will really make your car go fast.

18.4 resistance(17.8 is the lowest) might look good but you also need to know the inductance(higher is better) numbers in order to know the all important "spread" of the motor... Fantom fr-1 v3 motors have superior "spread" numbers, and , if you add a few items(full ceramic bearings+ HD18 rotors), you will never ever worry about the competition....
