I've been liking the Schumacher contact tires better than Jaco, as have several others locally.

If tyres are totally open then foams will give best performance. Even a hard nitro foam is at least 1s a lap faster than the best rubber tyre.

Don't know why the US is so obsessed with Jacos when there are so many better tires out there

agreed I ran Solaris 30’s in black crc carpet and they were about 2 tenths faster than the jacos, SloE4 has been running Solaris 36’s and his times are about the same as with the jacos with absolutely no glue in the fronts. Jason from Bmi uses sorex 28’s and he is stupid fast and consistent. The contact tires are very good and a lot less than jacos.

that seems high for the Jaco tires, pretty sure they're $30 where I race. Contact are still $5 cheaper and last longer.
