It really depends on what battery you run. I'm still running older IP 6000mah 90c at about 290-295g. 2014 and 2016 chassis balance better with that battery, because they're from before the motor was moved in. My 2019 is just a touch heavy on the battery side from the motor being moved in back in 17(?). But with the newer graphene batteries that are down around 270g, or the LCG batteries that are even lighter, yeah, moving the motor in more is desirable.

Generally speaking, I'd rather move a component to get left/right balance, than add weight for it. And I haven't replaced my batteries, because I feel like it makes more sense to just have more battery, than more ballast.

First Xray T4. Finish polishing (cleaning) up the ride after a couple races. Stock set up with a couple hop ups. Pretty easy to drive

How do you guys shorten your body posts. Just cut them with a dremel, saw, or just some wire cutters?

Yeah Racing XR-T4-010 Aluminum Adjustable Velcro Lipo Battery Mount: T2/ T3 - Yeahracing - (#XR-T4-010OR) Aluminum Adjustable Velcro Lipo Battery Mount For XRAY T4 Orange

Also A long velcro strap will work, just route it the way the tape would go.

I use a cut off wheel in a Dremel - real quick and neat.
