Sorry to hear that but isn't there an insurrance for stolen cars. In the Netherlands we have an insurrance called WA-insurrance which covers this.

Default Could be worse

At one of the local parking lot race venues they stole the trailer with the timing system, the computer, all the hardware to set up the track.

I had the same thing happen to me once but i saw the guy at the track looking around at every table so i kept an eye on him, what i did was kind of wrong but i did it anyway, i left my table just to see what would happen and the guy went to my table and took my charger and my tool box he left the car, now me and a friend follow him out side the track and caught him, let me tell you this was the best beaten i ever gave anyone i broke his jaws and a few teeth fell out too, lucky for me when the cops came the guy left so there was no charge.

Unhappy

In this hobby of RC racing you would think being around a lot of expensive equipment nobody needs to steel anything, most likely a bystander stole it not a fellow racer.

I can see how it could happen where they were pitting, right on the main walkway in/out of the building, someone had to see something. Hope it works out

I believe this deserves a "southpark" Quote (or mp3 file...)

listen after about 8 seconds

That must really suck to have something stolen at a big event. Kick him in the nuts (if he has any...)

I manage a hobbyshop and have recovered quite a few stolen rc cars. I even helped one racer find out who broke into his house because I recovered one of his cars (the [email protected] that brought it in the store wanted to buy a pull start for a non pull start engine). Definitely check for the transponder number. That's how I got one back. Do you have any chassis pics? Anything on the chassis that only you would have/do to the chassis? Bodies and stickers can change, but modified parts aren't usually noticed by dirtbags that steal. When Drake's truck got stolen at RCX, it was recovered in a hobbyshop. Let all of the local shops in the area of the birds know about the car. Some retard just might show up at one looking for a radio or a battery to run it.
