Question for those breaking c-hubs - are you shimming them on the shaft?

There is a lot of play on there, I shim these parts as a matter of course, and I have never broken one. In my experience parts with a lot of free play tend to be the ones that break.

The car is shimmed, it's just that the boards at my track are extremely unforgiving.

here's a video from our track so you can see the boards. That track lay out was a bit of an anomoly as it did a sweeper at the end of the straight. Normally it's a 90 degree corner with a pole as the corner. I don't know how many cars have broken on that corner.

Hey Guys, here is my Vegas rubber tire setup. I have not unpacked from Vegas yet, but when I do I'll take pictures of where I placed the weights.

Give it a try it's pretty good.

Hello, "Topracers" , a litle question here, Always use the rigid post, not lateral posts, but the post are under top deck?

In Euros, i donīt use it, and i make a more flex 2mm top deck, and work very well, the track are low grip, and more hot.

Greetings, Luis C.

All of them are great cars but like the TC5 it has evolved into two different versions optimised for the two different types of tyres we race on (foam and rubber). The original version with plastic bulkheads is very effective in low grip conditions and can be adapted to suit your needs.

Generally speaking it will have greater overall grip and will work better on low grip tracks like rubber/concret. It will have slightly less midcorner speed (than an alloy version) and comes with a oneway front diff which isn't used all that much these days.

You can easily change out the parts you want to suit your needs once you run it. My current chassis is the orignal but I have added bits a pieces over time to suit rubber tyre racing on asphalt and concret which is what I do. Also some of my additions are to suit mod which you may not need.

Moral: kit car is good.

The standard kit is great for asphalt/parking lot racing and especially in the stock classes.
It works well with both rubber and foam tyres in these conditions and teh only changes needed would be a spool or diff up front if that suits your driving style other wise the oneway is fine.
Only other upgrades i recommend for the std kit is put teh ceramic diff balls.
My std kit with just a front spool and the ceramic diff balls runs comfortably with the Xrays/Serpents/TRF's etc... in fact i like it more than the option kit.

The option kit works great for mod and needs the extra strength for this class.
