Another issue that i have seen is people running the TOP titanium screws in the bumper.
These screws have a smaller diameter, and therefore would be easier to pull through the chassis, as the screw head is supporting fewer laminations.

Though i do have to say when the graphite breaks, it is clearly evident that the laminations are significantly drier than other examples i have seen, like there is less epoxy in the mix.

Such a Great result Mark Young well deserve that after all that effort he spend to carry on racing as he is a family & business man also running a model car club...Danielle Young U16(his daughter) also finished Second on G final
Matt Mead finished first on G final who is very young talented guy (U16) and supported by Mark Young...
I don't know where you can find that energy but well done Mark

Always great to see a underdog car get on teh podium only to loose those drivers after showing the ability to other high end brands.
The Scythe is definately a capable chassis and i love it

Standard diffs are Yokomo (although TOP now have their own design available as an option), pulleys are TOP, CVDs are TOP but to a Yokomo design.

Parts in the UK are naturally available from any store with a dealer account with a company that is in your signature AND mine!

I have a 4800 Orion lipo fitted in my 27T Scythe without any hassles..
Its mounted with double sided tape and the carbon battery holder.
Only thing i did was to file flat edges on the battery holder posts.
I also have a 5300 Nosram softpack fitted in my mod car in the same way and no fouling or touching the motor mount brace.
Ill take a pic and post tomorrow.

Thanks that would be very helpfull I can fit it under the top plate np but it hangs out over the edge of the chassie and I really do not like that. I do not have the battery holder on my car so that may be something I need to look into getting.

Hey Chris,

I run my SMC 5000 under the top deck also, and not under the right side of the motor mount. You just have to make sure it's secure (I use tape) and the car is balanced left to right.

Thanks EJ I'm assuming that your running the tape through the triangle shaped holes(correct), thats what I was expecting to do but thought I'd see if anyone was doing it differently. I have also tried my 3200 lipo and it does fit down in the battery slots and under that right side brace/mount piece.

Hi Guys
I've got the red scythe as a second car next to my Mi3
I usually put the car on setup board to sort out Tweak, I've tried that with Scythe but m3 screw heads touches to setup board before the chassis because of that it plays left to right on setup board behaves like its tweaked ...
Have you guys have that type of problem?
what you suggest me to do?
Thanx in advance
