Hey Josh,

Thanks for the input, its great to see you onboard and im sure your experience will help greatly with further developments, as you've already touched on durability.

I have to ask though, how did you find the car overall???

Cheers,

Robbie

Great reply Josh, i am looking forward to some of the things you come up with for the car. And your insight into required changes.

Question - Do you get to do much asphalt rubber racing or is it mostly Carpet foam?

Robbie - Overall, I was super happy with the car. There's a few basic things reguarding weight/balance/construction that can really make or break a car in different disiplines (rubber/foam). This car has the needed elements to be one of the best on the market in all catagories with only some minor work. I had a chance to watch some of the TOP drivers at the Reedy Race last year and at the Snowbirds and I know the car has great potential. We just have to show everyone out there what it can do. I will say that there is a few area's that I would like to improve but for the most part I was really suprised and happy as I went through the car with a lot of the ideas and designs that were already in place. Really, my work will be simple and easy in terms of development and most of the time will be spent on the track testing set-ups for foam and rubber racing.

Besercoe - Mainly, I run a lot of foam tire carpet but in the past few years I have done a fair amount of testing/development on rubber tires. I have several ideas that I really want to get out on the track to test for rubber tires. I think I will probably do a lot more rubber tire testing/racing this year now that I have such strong support from TOP and a team to work with at the races.

Thanks for the info and replies Josh.

I'm quite new to this car also, but its gained some great results here in Australia and from the limited experience i've had, the car certainly showed ALOT of potential... it just kept getting faster and easier to drive.

It'll be great to get some feedback from yourself and the other Factory drivers as you find things in your testing.

Thanks again, look forward to your progress. I'm in the middle of building my 08 kit as we speak.

Cheers,

Robbie

Hi Josh, I see you're registered for the JACO/SMC Canadian challenge.

Hmm, I was thinking of heading down for the race, now I'm almost convinced.

Hey Guys,

Finally finished building my Scythe '08 Kit this evening, pics to come soon.

But when i put it on my set-up station to align it all, i noticed the left hand rear toe measured 3 and a little bit, but the right hand side measured around 1.9 toe in. Has anyone else noticed a difference before, or know how to correct it???

I dont remember Left and Right being that different on my last Scythe Kit.

Cheers,

Robbie

I use the kit springs with both a one way and spool with a lot of success. Last year Marc Mendoza finished just outside of the A at the Reedy Race. His car was very good and used the kit springs (running a spool).

I usually use the low profile towers with our springs and the stock towers with all other springs. At the birds I was able to use the low profile towers with HPI springs because Josh gave me some different spring retainers. But even with these retainers I was only able to get down to 4.5mm ride height.

I'll post setup later today.
FYI, I sent you an PM from rctech.....

Hey, what's the story with my Brisbane Lions? Are they going to get some youth that can play the whole game? I thought they were going to make a run at the ladder but then went belly-up...
