So how did you build it?

In other words what options you add from the base kit?

Just built one for the boss (Rod) I have forgotten how much work you have to put into one of these cars (use to X Ray and Yokomo) One of those thing I have discussed with the powers to be.
Once you have the car assembled, they have great track performance when you have tuned it to your own driving style. Very little adjustment from a base setup to all track conditions.

Good to hear the car is working good for you! I also heard from other people your car was dialed

I raced yesterday on carpet with rubber tires, the car was pretty damn good. TQ'd by 5 seconds. Tony F got me in the main though, homie was fast.

Greetings and A Very Happy New Year 2008 to All !

We are from Malaysia (Son Driver & Father Mechanic) and we switched to Top car (All red) since 2 months back and we are very happy with it ever since (Formerly Xray/Tamiya cars). We find the car very easy to setup and the price of parts are reasonable. No much been upgraded except for springs and titanium cvd and nuts.

Hope Top Racing will continue to develop more racing parts to push the car even further from an already well balanced car.

With best regards

Stephen

Hey Guys,

Hows all your Scythe's going???

A couple of quick questions, what combination is everyone finding to be the best in regards to Shocks/pistons???... do many of you run Tamiya shocks?

I'm struggling with on and off power understeer but once i correct it, then i experience stability problems...i'm thinking (amongst many other things), my shock set-up is not right.

Also, in regards to suspension mount spacers, does anyone have a definate answer as to what works, eg: when i ran xray... raising the suspension arm mounts created more grip/sidebite (from memory), however with HB, Lowering the suspension mounting spacers or removing them completely gave better grip/sidebite... which is it for the scythe???...

Thanks in advance, cant wait to build my fresh new kit for '08!

By the way, Troy, how have you found the split top-deck???... do you run the alloy lower bulkheads aswell or just the uppers with a cut deck. I'm curious to try this out with my new chassis.

Cheers,

Robbie

Shocks - I have the Rayspeed RS14 pistons in the kit shocks. The bigger holes settle the car down.

Handling - strange you have understeer. Normally the car creates monster steering. Check you have ample droop, 5F and 4R on the gauges for rubber tyres. To achei ve this you need to unthread the Yokomo shocks quite a bit to 63mm length with the kit towers.

Suspension mounts - raise them to reduce cornering grip, and get a smoother feel.
