Many congratulations E.J. - looks like you put in a great performance, well done from all the Scythe drivers in the UK.

We had a great result for the Scythe at the weekend in the UK BRCA Junior National Championship with Muchmore UK and TOP Racing driver, Gareth Hunt taking 3rd place in the 19T A Main - report here

In the seniors, the Scythe continues to dominate in the UK's SLCC (Southern League Challenge Cup) with Jay Westwood and Glen Westwood both performing exceptionally well with two rounds to go in the series - results here

Thanks razzor and Keithander!

Any of you guys going to make it Vegas? Great finish for Gareth! I'm sure he would do well in Vegas. Looks a little to young to Gamble though. LOL

It was a Scythe 1,2 in qually and overall in the SLCC 27T at Barham.
I think that there was 5 Scythe's in the top 10 in the 27T A final.

not bad, we were all running the same setup mind..... courtesy of Remo Casadei

there is a new version 2 Uni kits being released soon that have a larger diameter Pin that should last alot longer, check with your importer/retailer when it is available.

Intresting but alittle late now

I have sorted the problem now, I purchased Hotbodies Cyclone Black MIP's, and milled out part of the inside of my alu spool for extra clearence due to the ends of the bones being slightly thicker. and now theres no problem

Smile BRUSHLESS SCYTHE

G'day Razzor,

I'm running the SpeedPassion 13.5 with a LRP Competition speedy with 48 pitch 76 spur and 27 pinion. If using 64 pitch 102 spur/40 pinion.

Just need to check motor temp and gear within recommended FDR's. Speed Passion 5.8 to 7.

Hope this helps

Later

Hey Guys,

Although my user name would suggest otherwise, i'm pleased to announce i've jumped ships to the TOP side of things, and will now be running a very sexy looking Red Scythe in Australia!

Already heavily into building it, hopefully for a debut very shortly.

I've been told that when running a spool up front its better to run the front inboard toe at 0* at the front of the arms... what exactly does this do? and is it essential or just another tuning option.

Cheers i look forward to chatting to you all in coming weeks!

Regards,

Robbie

Running the 0deg block on the front will give no inboard toe, compared to the the 2.5 deg inboard toe-out of the kit settings this will give a little less initial turn in.

It's just another fine adjustment, I don't think it is a necessity, unless the person you had been speaking to has found some mechnical reason why the inboard toe-out doesn't work with the spool? Not something I am aware of if there is such a problem.

Hey Robbie,

Just run with the 2.5 toe block, I have found no benefit in using the O deg block. I have had this car dialled lately at Logan with the 2.5.

Cheers

You will mate, it's a bloody awesome car and responds well to even the smallest of changes. Just remember that what you may have read and understood in your XRAY set up guide will have a slightly different effect on the scythe, least that's what I noticed.

Let us know how you get on mate

Cheers
