Hi Guy's

Just had our Summer Cup at Logan and I need some set up assistance

Initially in practise the car was hooking and loosing rear grip quite badly, I fixed this by adding a 1mm shim under the upper linkage on the bulkhead. Fixed the problem that well that for the rest of the meeting I could not no matter what I tried get the bloody thing to turn in with enough speed to be remotely competitive. I still made the A Q6th but couldn't match the top 3 for corner speed.

In the end I had to remove the sway bars as the front ball's screw threaded and came out during the first final, this made the car very squirly and unpredictable.

The next big event that I'm aware of is the Tamworth Cup and I would like to know what measures I can try to get it to corner properlly.

I was running a one way in Stock so perhaps the delrin spool might have helped a little, but the turning radius was ridiculous.

I am looking at getting a second car and running in modified but if it is this difficult to get it to steer in stock I might not bother.

Any ideas would be great

Cheers
Aaron

Nemisis,

The car is a bomb....i drive a gold 2mm version and since this week a red 2,5mm. It's not a car for a beginner as for the building (you need to have some building-experience), but on track the car has loads of grip, much more than my T2. The back is glued o the surface, at least on carpet with CS27. Steering has to be deminished cause the car has even too much steering with the standard settings.

At this moment only the cross-joints are the weak point but the factory is working on it. With some loc-tite and shrink-wrap the problem is pretty solved.

For spares i can only talk of our own behalve; as distributer we have almost all spares in stock and we keep a new kit as spare for emergencies. So no problem in getting spares!!

By the way.....buy the kit first without alloy....a little less bling-bling but it's very good already without it.

greetz,

Eric

For anyone racing rubber tyres on carpet, here is a setup I believe to be a good starting point:

What brand foam inserts for the shocks do you guy's use. I have some in the shocks currently and I have a second set of shocks that will have a different oil/piston for quick change and I need to get the foam inserts that sit between the bladder and the top of the shock.

Cheers

For the UK market, the car was originally in Gold although there were a few Red "special editions" floating around too.

I believe that future production for the UK market will be red only but don't quote me on that, I may have heard wrong!

Other markets may differ.

The car was originally designed in Gold, after the UK Red-edition TOP decided to sell the car as of 2007 only in red. We have built the Red Edition and it's really a beauty.....

I raced mine for the first time this weekend at the HobbyPlex Carpet Onroad Champs here in Nebraska and TQ'd and won stock rubber. The car is just so smooooooth, and really turns in when you want it to. Can't wait till I get more track time on the car, it'll only get better. I'll get my setup posted as soon as E.J. get's me an editable setup sheet
