@ Jimmy,

Congratulations, seems you have the Scythe really under control. Is there some more info about the Winterseries, like tracks, result etc.?

Thank you,

Eric

Yeah Jimmy is right but also have a split front to rear 45 35, or even 50 40,

There is a stock foam/ashplat setup a few pages back,

Let me know how you go.

Cheers

What brand spur gears does this car use. I realise it uses the Kimbrough ones but in Australia the distributor for Kimbrough only imports a select few of the sizes. Is there other brands that will fit this car. Im looking for 64pd in 98,99,100,101 tooth.

Thanks in advance for your help

It will use any standard sized brand that can use four mounting holes. I don't think the standard ones are Kimbrough, they are one of the Japanese brands.

I found RW spurs didnt' fit, but Xenon and Kawada ones seem to fit perfectly.

Great editing. I was there at that race. In that video, you made your car look really good But, we both no the truth. hehehehe But, seriously, I'm glad the picture quality sucked so I didn't have to look at such an ugly paint job.

I had my first test drive today indoor on carpet with cs27 tyres on my Red Edition

The car drove very well with 5 cells and a 19T element motor. Lots of corner speed and easy to drive with lots of grip. I look forward to the first race.

I will post some pictures tomorrow of my Red Edition

Hi guys,
On friday I drove the car in the 5 cell modified class on a small, indoor carpet track on rubber tyres. The car was dialled and worked well with a front spool with plenty of steering. The balance of the car didn't seem to thrown by the loss of one cell, and with all the alloy parts it came fairly close to the 1350g minimum weight limit.
Today I ran 6 cell 19t at round 4 at the Carpet Masters series (on rubbers again). Car wasn't as good as on friday, but I still managed 7th overall, which was ok considering the number of fast drivers there.
Hopefully I will be testing the car outdoors soon, so I look forward to that.

Patrick, good to hear you like the car!

Ali,

My Scythe weights 1440 gram.

With all the alu parts
receiver Futuba
KO 2413 Servo
Ko vsf-1
5 cell smc 4200
HB Stratus body
With front and rear stabi's
CS 27 tyres
Orion element 19T (old type)

With al the plastic i can save 40-50 gram. But then i lose some stiffness.

How did you get to manage so close to 1350 gram ?

Normally i drive stock ( 19T ) but maybe i change to modified 5 cells Brushless for the dutch nationals outdoors.

Cheers
Patrick
