Default What motor for World GTR 17.5 1cell

What motor is everyone using for WGTR? I have read that is preferable to have a low gauss rotor? But all the motors that claim to be for 1s pan cars are super high like 1500-1600.

this is for indoor carpet track

Heck no I run the biggest rotor possible. One cell and heavy rubber tires you need torque.

When end I ran the class it was a trinity monster max with high torque rotor.

I was going to get the R1 V16 and was told the Monster Max would be a better choice for this class. So I picked up a Monster Max with high Torque Rotor from EA.

The fastest guy at our track runs the TSR. Iíve run the V16 R1 and the Monster Max. Both seem good. Driving wins GTR imho.

I agree, but no reason not to have a good motor. Any help I can get I need. And if I need a new motor, might as well get good one if not the best

The Trinity seems unbeatable in stock 1/12, so I figured it would be great in GTR. Borrowed a buddies and was not impressed. That being said, a guy was running one at MHIC this year and his car was ballistic! The R1 guys at our track claim the V16 sucks in 1S. Iíve run it in 1/12 and GTR and disagree. Itís very fast for me. I just switched to Speedzone and really like it. Still working on gearing but already laid down my best hot lap with it. Really light motor and runs cool. Construction is top notch. Canít say that about R1, I have had multiple sensor board failures and the solder tabs arenít the best.

Tekin Spec R seemed like it was the motor to beat a few months ago. Anyone using that?

The Trinity Monster Max comes with the orange Rotor- that's all you need. Then it's set-up and driving.

Nobody at our track runs Tekin motors. I raced at another track today with a big GTR turnout and didnít see any Tekin.
