I did have to convert one of my cars into a usgt car because of all the new spec rules, eventhough I never ran it due to other issues....I must admit that all of the spec talks were not encouraging and killed most of my desire to show up at the track until I saw concrete liverc video evidence that the turnout was decent(five+ heats).....

Also, can do like Cleveland has done before, all charging is done on a charging table using a supplied charger. Back then Novak would bring about 10-20 Rhino chargers for the table.

My guess is like ROAR did when they implemented the rule. A race official walking the pits randomly. Quite easy with the big lit up displays showing all the info.

Yep, those chargers at the indoor champs were Class chargers, kindly provided by CRC and Frank Calandra. They eliminated the need for guys to bring their own bump boxes to the tech and on-deck areas. Just another of the many ways that CRC actively supports the carpet racing scene.

We were bumping packs in te mid 80's before there was even a peak detector charger to keep you from going Chernobel with your packs. Using an old Astroflite timer type charger we would put the pack in a plastic bag and set it on ice to hold the temp down in an attempt to gain any kind of additional oomph from the batteries so don't think for a milisecond that there won't be all kinds of shenanigans to try to gain single car length with the Can/Am spec hand out motors. At your big races keep an eye out for the diver or team that has their pit somewhat removed from the others.
