Default 15 turn motor

i am kind of in a delima, i recently purchased a 9 turn epic shock motor and later found out that it wasn't legal where i race at. the turn limit for our track is a 15 turn both stock and modified. our track is classifies as small to medium with not very long straight aways. i currently have a Factory Team TC4 with and unlimited turn ESC i was wanting some suggestion from people that would know which kinda of 15 turn motor would be best for me. i am a beginner and don't want something that i can't handle.
TIA

Beginner.... 9 turn... short track... TC4 The 15 turn will suite you much better Just buy a 15 turn arm for your shock and your all set

You should probably try to start a 19 turn class, that sounds like the perfect class, for your size track.

Then you could try just about any motor, Orion v-2 based, Integy Atlas, Trinity Chameleon 2, Komodo Dragon( not out yet), Check point 19 TURN.

The choices go on! But If you think about it a 19 turn might actually allow you to go faster, since alot of guys spin their wheels and slide out of the groove because they have so much horse power!

Cool

alright thanks!since my motor wasn't legal, one guy let me use his Trinity Chameleon (I am not sure if it is just the 1st one or the second) which he said he would sell for 25 dollars brand new! i currently have a 15,22,23 t pinion. the 23 was in when i was racing but i was peeling out and couldn't get traction very well but i also was running rubber not foam. so i am in the market for some foam tires from what i have been told i want to get 42 jaco foams. is this correct suggestion for my track conditions?

What type of carpet are you running on? My carpet track typically uses Plaid fronts, purple rears. That is in either jaco, parma, trc.

why jump right into mod

stick with a stock 27t motor and go from there

if you dont have a huge straight then stock should be fine

more time is gained in the turns than in the straight part

id rather be fast in the infield

Assuming your running on Ozite carpet I would go with the TRC foams, Plaids and Purples. DO NOT run the Jaco or Parmas, there crap...there rims are cheap made.
