only a couple more races in my area left of the outdoor season before we all head indoor for the winter caqrpet season so this weekend I ( and hopefully corallyman can make it this weekend) am going to try a different set-up and see if we can get a little more out of the car before the season is up. I will report back to all of you on how it goes with the different set-up and then i will post it if it proves to be better than the previous set-ups i have been running. all i can say is im ready to hit the rug this winter. I feel the avid v2 is going to really shine on the carpet. so far the car has been really great on asphalt and has suprised many so i am ready to see what it can do on carpet.

race got cancelled due to rainy weather so wasnt ableto do any testing of the new set-up i was talking about earlier.

also regarding the bumper there isnt anyone else who makes a bumper specifically for the avid v2 that i know of as the stock one works great and i think that is just because the car issuper strong so not much breakage but if you really want a different bumper parma makes a universal bumper that you have to trim to shape but its a block of harder foam that is easy to cut.

anyone off the top of there head know what the tooth count for the stock front and the rear belts on the avid v2 as i am trying to fit a couple of gear diffs in my car to test out but need to find some different belts but am un sure what tooth count to get as i dont know what the stock tooth count is.

i am trying to run 2 3racing gear diffs with the 38tooth pulleys and going to try out the photon 20tooth pulley set-up on the car to see what happens.

no i just wanted to try out a gear diff so i decided to try the 3racing ones as they are $20 and they seem to fit in the avid between the bulkheads but the belts dont work and i need to modify the driveshaft blades.
havent heard of anything yet about a gear diff from robitronic ..

Hi, yes Robitronic is working on a gear diff but it is still in the designing time. I don't know when it should be available!

I don't exactly know right now! We should receive the prototype one very soon I think but I can't say about the production.

Maybe Shasa will be able to answer you about that!

Hi, you can start with mine :http://www.petitrc.com/reglages/robi...CF20100327.pdf

After talking with Shasa, our setups are almost the same. Only things to change as a basis is the front spring. In france we have sweep 36 with a lot of gap and on carpet, it is working better with the HPI silver in front.
I would advice to start with HPI gold or pink in front if you are using other tyres.
