run in stock on the weekend and lowered my times from 23sec to 20.12 not because of the out drives but just some tuning (speedy MMP and Ballistic 17.5)
but jeffs mod setting are great.
The out drives worked quite well, the alloy may be a bit soft with impact (which is a good thing) may have to take a few mil of the length to make it easier to put the drives in but so far so good.
Setting for MMP are
Start RPM 7500
End RPM 15900
timing 50 deg
Motor timing 0
Spur 85
Pinion 26
RO /FDR 34.78/5.78
Temp 180 F

to be honest jay the diff was not the problem it was speed or lack off and yes the diff was not at its best on that particular weekend.
But after the new diff rebuild and retention of the diff tension disks it is the best that its been.

jeff
i think it was the first one that you put on petit rc.
Only took the roll centre shims out and laid the shocks right over, should be able to get away with this setup for most tracks that i run maybe just a few shock adjustments? In saying that i still have a bit (not much)of push in the sweepers under acceleration but apart form that GREAT.

Couple of questions regarding your set-up it says roll centers all the way around does this mean no roll center shims under arm mounts? and roll bars says nill does that mean none? your shocks springs, what brand are they? and on your droop what is your method for measuring the droop did you use a droop guage and 10mm blocks or are you measuring the uptravel from ride hieght ?

my suggestions would be run the front shocks in the #3 position and the rear shocks in the #4 position and the rear shocks in the #3 position on the arm and put the front wheelbase to standard position. that is what i am running at the moment and i have no problems with push in the sweepers. and the upper links on the tower to the B position this will give more camber change and hopefully allow you to grip more in the corners.

and the droop i always find myself running 3-3.5mm of front uptravel from ride hieght and the rear 2mm of uptravel from ride hieght. so say if my ride hieght is 5.5mm all around and i pull up on the front tower to the point where the tires just about loose contact with the set-up board and my ride hieght gauge will read 8.5mm if i use 3mm of uptravel and do the same with the rear and it should read 7.5mm when using 2mm uptravel.

your best bet for springs would be running a spring rate the same as hpi silvers in the front and a ratethe same as hpi blues in the rear. this so far is the best spring combo for outdoor asphalt i have found at the moment if grip is high i might change the rear springs to silver.

if you are still having issues for any reason with push in the sweepers or highspeed sections try reducing your front droop value keeping more wieght on the front under power . also maybe try running the 5 deg castor blocks.

hope this helps.
-Jeff
