Hi everyone, John Sims here and I am a new member of the team. I will be getting my new car here real soon and when I get some laps in on my local asphalt track I will get my setup posted. I look forward to working with all of you and if you have any questions just ask.

Ok got to try the new car on carpet and its ok but the box setup is not good for rubber tire it might be ok for foam tire though. One thing i don't like is the play in the new steering set up it is excessive so ill have to see if i can fix it. For those wondering lipos do not fit well at all i run ip 3800s and they are smaller than most other 2s and i have to tape them in hanging off of the chassis cause if you push them in where they are supposed to go the battery hits the belt pulley so I'm hoping speedtech will get the lipo mount soon. Other than that the car is just as good as anything else on the market imo.

Many of the Robitronic Avid V2 parts will be arriving this week, including the lipo tray.

We'll update as soon as everything is available.

Cheers,
Jeff

Hmm... not surprised. The setup right out of the box is usually prime for FOAM. You can also run the base setup on Asphalt and it will be great. But for rubber on carpet, not so much.

The original AVID also had some play in the steering. But it wasn't as excessive as you are describing now.

Good luck with the car. How is the maintenance on it? Is it still a chore like the first version of the car?

Hello
finished the Avid 2 build and its not to bad, only took 4 hrs (with out electrics and set up) good to see they have gone to a bigger ball in the diff(comes into line with what i have in my avid)
Test day tomorrow at the Gold Coast www.gcmr.biza nice big open track to run 10.5.(running an LRP X12) for the first time, plenty of lowdown grunt.

Hello
Built and run.
Problem is the ball end (RA0600) are very slopy unlike the Avid and the Rear diff pulley just wouldn't stay glued.so looking for another 39t pulley.looking at Cyclone pulley (67721)
It will take a bit more to get the Avid 2 dialed but big tracks looks good.

im hoping that there is a lot of good news to hand down to all of us that are looking forward to purchasing the V2.
Been very happy with the original Avid, going from HB Cyclone to the Avid was a blessing. The car does what you want it to do. No problems with breaking things like that of the Cyclone. CVDs C hubs steering blocks need i go on............LOL
Hope to hear some good news from all you that have run the New V2

About flex, car is really rigid out of the box, so i soften it a little to get it easier to drive
What do you do exactly to soften it?
Remove some of the screws out of the topdeck, or so?

Is the kit-setup meant as set up for rubber on asphalt/tarmac or not?
