AE TC5 LiPo tray will fit, per what was on my car. Use the AE battery posts as well if you want to use the original battery bar. You may need to add a 2mm shim underneath the posts if you plan on using a 5000+ mah LiPo.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank God I was wrong, oh thank God I was wrong about the AVID 2.

Please keep us all posted. Plus also ask if they have considered the chassis to fit LiPo instead of the aged and outdated NiMH cells as the earlier pics show.

Plus any information about how easy it is to change up the diffs? Do we still need to tear apart the car's entire front or rear end for camber link changes/differential tuning?

Look at my pictures of my AVID on the previous page. You only need to go back one page. That is the tray I have. I do not remember who makes it. I will be going to my LHS and see the tray I used. I will give you the name of the company that makes the tray.

The one you got is definitely the wrong one.

harry. the new car will have the ability to take the diff out without too much trouble. its will be a ton easier to work on. James is the man!!!! keep our fingers crossed that it will be released the first week of march. as far as i know the car should be just like the one shown in the pics a few pages back.

Hi everyone,

So I decided to get involved in electric touring class this year, after 2 years of serious nitro onroad racing. I want to keep my budget tight at first, and want to ask if you guys recommend me Robitronic cars... I found a deal that its the same price with an Xray T2R Pro, which one would you get?

I researched some and found out t2r is easy to start with, both assembling and driving vise... I can handle the driving-setup part, but can there be anything struggle me while assembling/maintaining the avid car?

I have been using TM G4s, Mugen MTX-4, and Xray NT1 so far in nitro class and I am the 2009 turkish nationals 200mm nitro champion by the way.

Also like to know if anyone uses other products of robitronic(speedo, motors, batteries...)

Thanks!

Let me be the first to welcome you, the avid cars are very nice in my opinion and i chose it over the corally. The only part hard to work on would have to be the diffs due to the fact you have to tear the entire rear apart. Good news is there is a new avid coming out that offers easier maintenance i am told and just looks awesome over all. Well i only have been running the avid for about 3 months so that's just my opinion on the car. There are many guys on here that would be happy to tell you more.

It was nice working with some of you guys, but my time has come. I will no longer be handling any of the Robitronic questions. Robitronic USA has a separate account to assist you. Good luck out there and be sure to have a lot of fun!
