Yeah that is a pain. At first I put in the 48 pitch that came with it and quickly realized that was dumb, so I took it out and replaced it with the 64. Not something you want to have to do in between races. Fortunately I was at home and had plenty of time for it. Also thanks to you and HarryN for the advice.

So I don't think that there is an easier way to do it. One thing that I suggest that you buy is the front spool, it will help calm down the front end because the Avid has alot of steering. Now if you are running on a flowing track the oneway will work fine, but if the track is tight the spool will work much better. If you are running on asphalt, go to the Robitronics site and check out the team drivers setups. I can't remember who's setup I used, but I do remember that they ran red and green springs. The setup was pretty dialed and I just tweaked it some for my liking. I would also suggest buying back up body posts, they are brittle. One good rollover and that's it. Hopefully they have fixed that problem with the new car. Other than that it's a good car, I was pleased with it's performance.

What are your barriers made of? How do you crack an aluminum body post?

The AVID chassis tweaks very very easily. I am having to "untweak" my chassis before any heats or mains.

The springs I am using are the Robitronic GREEN in the front and Robitronic BLACK in the rear. It is doing very well. I also extended the rear camber links in the rear (also removed the 1mm washer), since my rear was getting looser as the tires wore out. That has resolved the issue. Now only thing left is my gearing. I have zero power coming out of turns.

As far as crashes, I do not think I ever had a crash THAT bad! *knock on wood*

One more thing to add. That AVID 2 is nothing more than a pipe dream. I am convinced. No word, no news, NOTHING. Nor have claims about the AVID 2 being a pipe dream are being debunked. Even if it were to come true, it won't even hit the states.

Still no further word about the AVID 2. Only that it is being driven in Europe. Big whoop! How is the chassis being developed? Is it being redesigned for LiPo (highly doubt it)?

Come on Robitronic. I am throwing the glove down. Let's hear some word.

No problem Jackster. If you have any questions just ask. I did alot of bench work to get that car right. The guy that I sold mine to in NY is having a blast with it.

Hey Casino, man that's one of the worst wrecks that I have seen in a long time. Check the spool, the aluminum diff half cover looks bent.

Oh there is nothing wrong with the current AVID. It is a VERY great car. Just an immense pain to work on. But I love the car a lot. You could say it is Stockholme Syndrome from the pain of working on the car and making it work.

Hence why I bought your car, DJ. Pinggoy does not know what he missed. And very soon, I may add another AVID to my collection, once I can get shipping costs from Slideaway.

Anyways, this will be the last AVID I add to my collection. I now have a warehouse of parts that will keep this car running for a good few years.

I will be adding a Xray T3 to my collection and if (HUGE IF) the pipe dream comes true and arrives in the states, an AVID 2.
