Well, here's my Avid.
Drove it for te first time this weekend and today. The car handled extremely well, I'm driving Yokomo springs and: a yokomo front bumper assembly!!!

I hit a bad curb and the car came to a dead stop. The collision wasnt hard at all and completely frontal.
What broke:
Both body posts
lower bumper
top Carbon fiber plate

Never had this problem before with any other car, luckily I still had a BD thats up for sale and the front bumper fits...
Anyone tried a Xray front?? (cause yokomo is hard to get in Belgium)
(oh yeah, bent 1 front axle... but hey, with a 4.5 on 6 cells...)

Ok, I think this is my last update on this car.

This car was NOT made to be driven in modified...

Not only do the axles bend, I managed to make the front ones twist!!!! They are twisted about 40 from blade to the wheelaxle section.

There was a strange ratle in the car when I went on the throttle somewhat too much. Today I found what it was:
it is the plastic drive pulley deforming under the power of the motor, this makes the rear belt slip (I'm driving the white- tuning belts).

I needed to CA all the plastic parts of the camber links because of some reason the thread is onle the first 2 mm of these parts which makes it skip while cornering hard. I wasted 2 sets of tires on this before I found out.

At first I thought the car was looking great and had a quality feel. Now I think that this is a pretty low quality kit. The car handles well and the shocks are damn good though...
I think I'm gonna prepare my Yokomo BD again, what a waste of money...

So beware, dont drive this car in modified (FYI I drive a Novak 4.5 with sintered rotor on 6 cells)

I know the car is good so!
its not a low quality kit so!
Look to Markus Mobers!
He's damn fast with it!
and he's a 12th scale driver!

Greetings Ollie

I dont think you ever owned one since yer name is `RDX` so how can you even comment??? from seeing a `pro` driver driving this car?

I know Markus said in the German forum he had NEW AXLES, this was 2 months ago and they`re still not in the stores for the REGULAR drivers

I know how Markus drives, give him a TYCO and he`ll still be faster then us.
I actually said that the car the car drives well.

I sold the car already, I have driven it a total of 20 batteries in 3 weeks, do you really think I love loosing money on selling the car second hand??
You can ask Niels Meurs or Johnny Matthieu (I thought you knew these persons), they were there when I was testing it. From the moment I touched the throttle somewhat too much (and it really wasnt punching it), the cars belt slipped over the pulley. and my belt was already too tight for comfort.

I asked Robitronics about the axles numerous times, no response, Not from Markus (who did the post there were new axles), not from anyone in Robitronics, you can check the forum if you`d like.

Luckily for me I still had my Yokomo and the Avid was sold the day I turned it in at Viol.

Quante, maybe the belts were skipping because you were using the white low friction ones. They seem to wear out very fast.
But that doesn't cover the other problems you were having with the car.
And that's too bad, because the car looks great and is fast, but when a car isn't reliable it's pretty much worthless for the 'average joe'.
Anyway, better luck with the Yokomo!
