Hi was wondering whats the difference between the different stock motors available?

I see there is

EVO 0 still haven't tried one
Core Stock good all around stocker
GM3 old and out dated....seemed to be loved by oval
Monster the best PERIOD....lots of torque and RPM
P2K older but tons of torque
P2k2 More of the above
Roar Lots of RPM but suffers in the torque department
THE NEW CO27 that is arriving next week will have Monster torque with Roar RPM...kind of a better Monster...

What exactly is different? Which is "faster" ....

thanks

Hope that helps,

Already got one!

Building it tonight for tomorrow's race! Though with our new layout as of two nights ago, the track is super green. Dont know how much I'll really get to the new motor out till some traction is layed down.

I got a feeling that the CO27 will be the new standard for stock racing.

don't count the EVO out yet. lot's of power through-out it's curve. i know a mod touring guy that tried it in stock competition...he gave it high marks.

Hi everyone,

Ok, I know I'm going to get burned for the "newbie" question but here it goes: Whats the difference between a stock motor and the "pro stock" motors (ex. CO27 vs. CO27 Pro). I just wanted to know before I make any purchases for my newly accquired electric on-roads...thanks for your time.

The "Pros" are dynoed and it comes with a dyno sheet that tells you RPM, Efficiency, etc..

pro versions get just a little bit more attention than standard mills. they're a tick faster.

After "pro" comes the aftermarket tuning companies. EX: Brood, Paradigm, DC, etc...things get a bit more complex once these guys have a chance to mess with the motor. But in general, you will get a motor that has been tuned to attain the maximum potential out of the motor and also tuned for a specific class of racing. They sometimes cost more, but the benefits are worth it.

yes! try the "F" brush with stock springs or the Trinity XXX-brush 1 to 1/2 tick more spring tension on (+).
