What size track are you running on?

105 x 48 according to their Facebook page. I guessed 100 x 40 in my head. I was surprised that my guesstimate was pretty darn close.

So I took her our to race this weekend, and the car ran well...qualified 5th in the b-main and finished 4th, started at 14+ seconds a lap and got it to a low 13 second lap, fast VTA laps here are 10-11 seconds so I have work to do..lol

Love the car though..

Awesome feed back, how does it feel compared to the xxxr? That must be awesome to be 3 seconds from the fast guys and still be mid pack at the b main. I am 1.8 seconds back from the track record and I am stuck am mid pack in the c main lol.

The xxx-r turned in way better, but was set-up differently from the box, and the xq1s felt more stable and balanced, this was on a box stock set-up, with a slight change in roll center and dialing out some extreme toe in the front and some basic camber changes got my times better. Putting in an order with Bartolo today for the sway bar kit, the hexes for the front, and the suspension blocks to put the ff block on the back. Going to try some xray springs and change the shock oil from 30 up to 40-45. I'll eventually get the brass suspension blocks and weights so I won't have to add so much to the car (it was 1299 grams at race weight, I had to add a ton for VTA)

Yesterday's turn out was 90% VTA we had three heats worth of drivers and two very full mains

Wow. I wish our tracks had to run 3 heats and 2 mains just because of the entries. Where do you run? Great looking VTA car by the way.

Thank you about the paint job, I'm very happy with how it turned out, I race in Durham,NC at Ho-B Max..we used to have a big turn out of a lot of cars, some left and started going south, we mainly have VTA, 1/12th scale, and a new Legends Break out

and speaking of people leaving and going south, I think a good few went to SCRC, and I plan to make a trip there to race one weekend to see how I like it and meet a fellow Xpress owner..but I'm in the eastern part of NC so it's a drive for me..lol

Sorry if i ask this question before. How is this chassis box stock? What up grades are needed to run on black carpet. Is there any build videos & reviews?

Just came back from a race last night, car is just dialed with the 25g center brass weight. I am only 1 to 2 laps back from the a main guys now. Now I am curious about changing over to the alloy bulk heads. The only thing that I am unclear about is the sway bar links. Anyone know if the links on the S model is compatible with the full on XQ1 bars? I know for sure the bars themselves are different.

Here is the main, they switched the track backwards. I got a few lucky breaks by staying back and driving really conservative for the first 10 or so laps and waited for the people to crash from battling then turned it up towards the end. once again, blue car with the black roof. John was the winner with the all red car. This was a field of X ray's and awesomatix.
