I could of sent it first day air but I saw that and didnt worry. If I get shut out becasue of that Im not gonna be happy. Mine was in the mail at 1:10 yesterday.
I understand by postmark, not how fast you can get it there. I wasn't gonna drop 10-15 bucks just to make sure it got there next day. My wife sent it out at around 1:00pm as well.

I did the online form and sent it in with delivery confirmation through the usps. It'll take 2-3 days to get there, and i'm not too worried. Just don't procrastinate and wait till the last minute. Like I did last year. oops.

See everyone in Sept.

They're going by post mark and arrival time. If they fill up entries marked today, and yours takes 1 week to get there but everyone else's takes 2 days that sent them on the same day, yours will be counted after theirs.

Does that make since? Not sure if I said it right.
..so event though Trackside was closed ..ours count as getting ther at 10:18am on 05/02/2006 I would assume??

Basically if tomorrow is the cut off post date, they take all the ones post marked that day and put them in the order they arrived. If they fill up before they get to someone who sent theirs in and took a week to get there, that person won't make it. I'm sure if you sent it yesterday, you'll be fine.

My guess would be if they cut off tomorrow it would be the order that the online entries were completed and not the time they get there. NOWHERE does it say arrival time is being used.

You also have to remember it gives the guys from across the pond a chance to get in as well based on date and not how fast it gets here.

As was addressed earlier.

You can do what ever you would like. Either regular mail or overnight.

But It is postmark and first come first served. If someone mails it out regular mail and it takes a few days to get there it would be at the end of the list for that post marked mailing day. If it fills up on that same post marked mailing day and yours is the one that is at the end of the list, you would be at the begining of the waiting list.

I hope that clears things up for everyone. If it doesn't please PM me.

Thank you
Boomer

Peoples, re-read this post. It's by postmark only.

That was in response to someone wanting to hand deliver it to the track, the post before that was the one Jon Kerr just Quoted. So it's by postmark, in the order recvd, so the only advantage to the overnight or expedited delivery is that it arrives sooner than ones postmarked the same date and snail mailed over. ..and I'm assuming that the ones that didn't make it into their hands because trackside was closed will still count as a 10:18am arrival.

I sent mine in express mail. $14.40-wow thats a lot-or is it? Less than a pair of tires, 4-pair of brushes........... You just paid $225 for two classes, your gonna spend $400 on airfare or more and your definately going to lose more than that in the slots...whats another $14.......

That was my rational behind the overnight expense ....well and I sent in the cake for 3 people's signups so it wasn't as much "per person" so to speak.

You're kidding right ...if it's anything like last years it will be sold out WAY BEFORE day 1 of the race.
