No thank god. Handout only. Last year it was Jack the Gripper. Can you imagine what that banquet hall would have been like after a week of Paragon flowing through that place? They'd never let us back in the city.

Our track is quite new to our area, as is on-road racing. People that visit the track for the first time often say that it smells so minty fresh, or that it smells like christmas. When I point out to them that the smell is the traction compound I always ask them if they think that it stinks. None yet have said that it was a bad thing. I know that there are people out there that can't stand the smell of Wintergreen oil, and for that reason we shouldn't probably use it in a large meeting hall. All I can say is that I am glad that the traction compound of choice is Ground Effects at our home track...

I use Paragon almost every weekend and still can't stand it. I've gotten to the point I don't get a headache anymore when I walk in the door. But it's still nasty.

When I was at Snowbirds the smell by Sunday was horrible. Maybe not bad for the racers who come in and race and marshall and go back to their rooms, but try staying in that room all day every day and it gets nasty.

I predict in 20 years there will be a lot of RC guys with chronic health problems from handling stuff like Paragon. My Dad just passed away at only 60 from kidney failure. Him handling solvent solutions that had Hexene and such was suspected as the cause.

Don't wanna rain on peoples parades but this is what many are leading to...

I'm really very sorry Mike. I've had some health issues myself and the fact that I use these chemicals often has come up with my doctors. I really wish there were some compounds out there that worked that were not so nasty.
