Default OPINIONS: is this the best looking T2, or just a MSX wannabe?

OPINIONS: is this the best looking T2, or just a MSX wannabe?

after weeks of neurotic action around my T2 to rival the most tallented "hair etching japanese artist" i have finished my all blue T2 project.

is this an expression of my subconsious love for tamiya, or does this car beat it for looks??

xray quality, with tamiya good looks

for all australians here are the details of the place that anodised the parts for me. it cost me $65 australian. may be more depending on colour etc.

"Aluminium Enterprises Pty ltd"

Ron Peters
66 Brock's Lane
Newtown NSW 2042
ph:02 9557 1674
fax 02 9519 1498

the shop is a dead set time warp worth the visit just to see it! also he has 8 colours available, specialises in small peices, and can anodise in a matt or shiney finish. HB purple available, AE blue available, tamiya blue available, grey silver gold red etc etc etc

the colour in the above pics is called "shiney turquoise"

Don't know if I would have gone with Blue..but $65 AUD isn't bad at all for the anodizing...maybe black and chamfer the edges to match my XB8

almost makes me want to consider checking out what it would run here in Canada

What was the timing like for the turnaround on the process?

the screws are tamiya and i used a mix of what i had with the washers, both GS and tamiya. the GS washers are wider.

the turn around was 1 week for it to be done. it's best to do it when it is new so there aren't any scratches on the alloy.

also the layshaft coems out a different colour because it is a different composition alloy. they had red as well which i recon would look really nice.

also i shifted the servo posts forward, making a hole similar to the rear post at the front. reason i did this was because i needed to fit a spectrum reciever in. not sure what it will do to the handling, but as you can imagine, this car is form over function

i've used 222 loctite on all metal to metal screw contact. we will soon see if it causes any issues. either way these are the screws which are available for the MSX to make it even "blue-ier" they seem to fit snug with the 222 loctite and are easy to take out.

i've also got the connectors to make the wiring shorter. so when i finish the electric component setup i will post some more pictures.

"blu-ray" it certainly is.
