What Servo for my new F1 car?
#1

Just picked up an F6. New to this class. Anyone want to share their lessons learned with this car and also recommend a servo?
Thanks

This place is full of resources on the F1 class in general and specifically the F6. As far as servos go, I believe most of the new chassis are designed to use shorty servos. I’ve had no problems at all with the Savox 1251. For the price, it’s great. You’re welcome to spend more, up to double. But I’m not fast enough to tell the difference.

Plus 1 from me for the Savox 1251 as well, run them in my buggies and find them great.
I am trying the Trackstar TS-D99X in my TRF102 and TA07 and so far so good. Its about half the price of the Savox and specs are marginally better, although I think in reality its marginally slower than the Savox. For me its fine, its faster than me. I only went for the Trackstar because of price and I was setting up 2 new cars which gets expensive.

I use the Savox 1251 in my F6. And the Trackstar D99x in my USGT. No issues with the Savox. Might even be more then needed. Or at least for my limited ability with F1.

I used to run Savox 1251 in my F1. When I broke a gear in it, I decided that I would try another servo to see how it compares. I replaced it with a Futuba S9551 shorty servo and I could immediately feel an improvement. The servo on paper is slightly slower but in real use felt more connected and precise. I've ditched the Savox 1251 in my touring car as well and felt the same improvement. Now I stick to either Futaba or KO servos!

I only use sanwa or ko for my servos. It's about the feeling. I've tried alot of brands and always go back to sanwa

I have the Savox 1251 in my F1. I have no complaints. Its a strong responsive servo. I had to go with a negative curve to make it less sensitive on the straights.
I may be getting another car, and found a deal on the Hitec H8775MG which was recommended from a friend.
