Hey Guys, I am thinking of running 1/12 sometime soon, but I know nothing about it, could someone tell me if the 12x is good on asphault, and if so what options will I need, and should I get the US or EU kit? And any other useful tidbits are greatly appreciated

Hi,

The US spec has a stiffer chassis and can be run with US Style wheels.
The EU spec has a more flexible chassis and must be run with Corally Wheels.

Greetings Ollie

They would be made from delrin and CNC machined. If there is interest in these pieces please let me know as it is almost as easy to make 5 set rather than one. Probably do the 1/2 mm steps too.

Pic of 2.5mm added.

Ok, I finally got them done. I ended up doing a 0,.5,1.0,1.5,2.0,2.5, and 3.0. At first I thought of doing a 3.5 but the axle would have hit the inside of the axle tube and a 3.25 was just too small of a jump from the 3.0. I have 4 full sets to sell and I'm not sure if I will do any more. This ended up takeing more time and being more trouble than I thought it would. I have attached an actual picture of the 1.0. If you are interested send me a PM or better yet an email and put in the Sub. Corally. [email protected] the cost will be $40.00 plus shipping. I know this is a little more than I originally said but I feel the are worth it. Paypal Payment.

Thanks OllieRDX, are there adapters for the EU so you can run US wheels, or would it be cheaper to buy the US and get the EU chassis?

I doubt it. It ended up being more trouble then it's worth.

Am prepared to bet that is a custom top plate. Obviously it has the AE damper parts, Not sure about the post - suspect it could be from a 12M, but hard to tell.

Where has the pic come from?? is it IIC this weekend? if so who's car was it?

Well I found the picture on another forum, don't know which one anymore, I suppose it was from the IIC.
Thanks for your reply

Just bought one of these and see it's not a very popular car, at least not on rctech.

I guess I'll just wing it with a setup and any questions I have

It's gaining in popularity. Corally just released a Worlds Edition Kit here recently, and it will use std US type wheels (all of the major companies like jaco, Parma, CRC, etc...) And include the tried and trued AE Dynamic Strut front end We're hoping this helps the car gain some popularity in the states!
