What I did was click on his user ID, then selected 'find more posts by SavageCanadian'.

As it turns out, he's already shared lots of his wizardry.

These tires also worked well enough for him to qualify into the A main.

Rubber tires (and the carcass flex they bring) forgive a multitude of sins.

If you have tires that wobble to such a degree that your lap times are affected (i.e. they don't perform properly), then perhaps you should contact CRC for replacement.
and Drew did quite well with them too. Like he always does.

The car is a mile wide and stiff as a board, I'm guessing it doesn't traction roll, but you might be able to drink a cup of coffee before it turns

He does make sweet looking mods tho, check out the X1 thread if you're not familiar with the canadian car

I have see a couple of his post and mods, but some of them apart from looking funky are counterproductive.
To get the X-ray work well, a wider front arms reinforces at the points of connecting to the stands help a lot. Just the full legal width needs to be used and avoid softening of the lower arms. The structure of the carbon fiber gets broken at the pickup points and the arm becomes softer although all looks fine from outside observation.

Brakes? Drag or finger? How much Drag vs finger. I like to have a lot of drag brake, solely because I am lazy and dont really trust me reflexes. I'm working on it but would like to know how much drag brake y'all like and most importantly WHY? And I think the WHY is more important to understand

drag vs brake depends on your 'reflexes' but w/ F1 being 25.5 already (or any spec racing), i'm assuming most everyone doesnt run drag brake

I don't run drag brake, get the car to "turn in" with speed and power through the corner! If I need brake to avoid something or on rare occasion-- it's on the finger!!

Tried both, I am always faster with no drag, carries more corner speed, it's kinda impossible to be at 'free roll' with drag brake, you are always on power or on brakes with Drag

I don't run any drag brake in my F1 cars. I prefer to brake on my own. Every corner is different and requires different levels of braking, plus I can 'trail brake' better if I control the amount of brake pressure applied.

Also, Mario Andretti once said something to the effect that "most racecar drivers think brakes are for slowing the car down. They are wrong."

Just my preference.

I do not run drag brake. Depending on the setup of the car, drag brake can make your car becoming loose off power. I set my brake strength to a low setting so the brakes when applied manually do not cause the rear end of the car to become loose. I also set the frequency of the brakes to a setting that makes the brakes smooth, which also keeps my wheels from locking up.

How do you set the frequency of the brakes?

You only do that if you ABS enabled on your TX.

yea, its going to be interesting. The new asphalt season for us starts in 2 weeks and we are switching to 25.5 from 21.5. At 21.5 I, and many others, almost solely relied on drag brake. Maybe not solely but definitely combined with a low D/R brake response.

I really don't know what to expect with 25.5, its going to be more of a momentum drive now so I suspect will want an even more refined and specific braking pattern. A bigger case for little to no drag.

25.5 is actually quite nice.
