This is on my MTS/V3 prototype that shares the same suspension as the FFV3

you need these parts from awesomatix :

P03 x2
P07 x1
AT21S x2

you can do this conversion with stock suspension arms too you just need to glue the P03 in the hole because is a little too big and the arm is not anought thick for the parts

many guys in germany do this conversion they run 13.5t on outdoors asphalt track and they are faster than before. This is why I do the conversion ! This is not only about suspension travel its about overall performance !!

Great idea! For reference what is the diameter of the Awesomatix balls?

yes when I installed the smaller oring on the bottom (took about 16seconds ) the lap times improved and was faster on the track .

I understand what you said but for me O-ring and suspension arms sound not good at all. Stay with your O-ring if you want but me I prefer have something better than a stack of O-ring to support the suspension arms ! I prefer awesomatix systems because I have more tunning option like roll center and the arms move more free than the O-ring systems

i no longer have the car i converted to 4wd and did alot of stuff to it and then gave it to a friend on mine , im just suggesting the oring as a fix with out spending or modifying anything , also the oring and the other shims that came with the kit are used a tuning option to make the car handle better , different combinations yield different results. The thin shims with both small orings and gold fronts springs and silver rears springs was awesome on outdoor asphalt tracks my laps were just as fast as my 4WD race opt. want to see it improve more install the rear ars system and then play with adding shims to change the angle of the toe link , you will thank me later. all the best for you

the 3racing 1 degree hubs fit perfect just need to use the front cvd axles then you can get up to 3.5 rear toe

What is the difference in the hole size.
The P3 you say is 6mm and the stock arm?

Do you just add shims to the P3 to take up the extra clearance as the stock arm is thinner.

Thanks

I dont have the mesurment of the stock arm with me but look like 6.25 6.5 and you need to glue the p03 in the hole

if you want custom suspension arms go on TRRracestuff.com and send email for information and pricing

Well I broke down and bought one of these babies since they were on sale on RCMart. I ran it for the first time this Saturday at our club race on black carpet and the thing was dialed in. The only changes I made were as follows:

- laid front shocks all the way down
- laid rear shocks to second inner position
- 700 shock oil all around
- gear diff putty (
Ride 45 hardness Ride 45 hardness
)
- Full sauce rear tires for about 10 minutes
- half sauce front tires for about 10 minutes
- Front tire sidewalls glued up to the edge

I got the car down to 1220 for weight using a shorty LCG battery and running an older Beams Integra Tamiya body. I can't remember the droop settings but the car was fast! I needed to play with gearing a lot more since I'm not used to 48 pitch. I will be changing it to 64 pitch instead. I qualified 3rd and finished 4th (got taken out in the beginning from a back marker and ended up in 10th but worked my way back up).

I had a few guys test the car and absolutely loved it. I know one guy is going to order one and at least 2 more are seriously considering getting one. For the price, this car is fantastic!
